My interest in zoology is mostly as an artist, and I'm working to round out my animal anatomy - how the body is basically constructed, designed to move, etc. Homology to the human body has helped a ton in mammals, and there is more instructional material there, but I'm having a bit of trouble finding material on other phylum in one place (that doesn't go over my head, at least.). Just by diving into Wikipedia for a bit, I think I've gained some insight. I think maybe if there was an overview of... Whales, porpoises, and dolphins are marine mammals, and like all mammals, they require oxygen to survive. Unlike other sea creatures such as fish which use gills to extract oxygen from the water, whales must come to the surface to breathe as they possess lungs and a blowhole rather than gills. The blowhole is situated on or near the top of ...

Inner whale anatomy is similar to the anatomy of land mammals (there are even rudimentary remains of back legs inside whales' bodies). And the organs are huge. A large baleen whale's heart is as large as a small car. Whales' lungs are huge, to enable the animal to spend extensive time under the water. They have, however, ears that are adapted ... The story of Noah is literally littered with faults ! From the sheer impossibility of getting all those animals and insects onto the ark through to feeding them and stopping them killing themselves. ## Noah did not consider the fish ! However, one element often over looked are the fish, mammals and sea creatures that live in the sea. When in discussion with creationists I hear them scoff when I suggest that the flooded planet would have killed the majority of sea creatures. They say that I mu... The Gray whale is one of the oldest mammal species on the planet. It has evolving and adapting for 30 million years. This marine mammal is a baleen whale, and all baleen whales have two blowholes. The blowholes are connected directly to the lungs, so the whale can take a mouthful of water and breathe at the same time.
Anatomy — Whales split into two separate parvorders around 34 mya – the baleen whales (Mysticetes) and the toothed whales (Odontocetes). Biology. Anatomy. Humpback whales are known for their long pectoral flippers. These flippers can grow to lengths of about 15 feet, which is abo\൵t 1/3 of the whale’s total length. Most of the whales in the North Pacific Ocean have black pectoral flippers, though there ar對e some whales which have white flippers. In the beginning, there was Eohippus. The proto-horse. It was a small hooved animal about the size of a dog, and it ate grass. It was a simple creature, and in my (factual) opinion it represents the last time that the Horse lineage was untainted by sin. Now, it is worth noting that life was not easy for this proto-horse, in fact life for early hooved mammals was so difficult, that some of them said "fuck that" and moonwalked back into the ocean to become cetaceans (Whales and Dolphins). That's r... The story of Noah is literally littered with faults ! Whale Anatomy Below is an external diagram of the Humpback Whale. For a larger image, click the diagram. The Humpback Whale is a baleen Whale with vertical throat grooves which allow it to glide along collecting food into its mouth. There are 10 species of baleen whales. Baleen whales are larger than the toothed whales. **TLDR**: Using research papers and looking at data provided by other Redditors, new knowledge regarding ETFs needs to be considered as causes for the current market action GME has been experiencing since January. The ETF FTDs are the biggest issue and the floor should open to considering activities by APs on those ETFs. In the below I share a story about a central bank, share the risks ETFs can cause, and suggest that the government needs to restrict **and** disincentivize APs from delaying FTD... Kind of a stupid question, but I looked around a little online and didn't find an answer. I figure people here could probably answer without even thinking about it. Are the digestive and respiratory systems of cetaceans completely separate (unlike in humans and many other mammals and, I assume, land animals)? I saw a diagram of whale anatomy that seemed to suggest they might be, and it dawned on me that because of the blowhole this could be the case. Could they breathe through their mouth if...
