There are two wires coming from the ThermaHeat RV Holding Tank Heater Pad part # 277-000164. There is a red wire for the 12 volt power and a white wire for the ground. This heating pad draw's 4.8 amps of power. Therefore, if you will be attaching three of these to a single switch then the switch will need to be rated for 14.1 amps (4.8 x 3). Used by RV owners for years, they provide warmth and water safety down to -11° F, depending on your RV's design and if the pad was properly installed. The tank heater pad measures 12" W by 18" L and the elbow heater pad measures 13" L by 3" W. Both pads are 3.0 MM thick and are rated for 13.5V DC.

The three main holding tanks - fresh water, gray and black (sewer) all will have a similar system to tell the RV'er how much fluid is in the tanks. Unfortunately, the system is not real accurate. As the picture to the left shows, it usually will have 3 or 4 "sensors" in the side of the tank.
