See notes. Eg. 30V transformer. 3 motors phase current of 2.0 amps each = 6.0A. 6.0A X 30V = 180VA Transformer required: 30VAC ...1 page I’m using a 50va 120v/24v transformer for my control wiring that’s interlocking an air handling unit, a damper, and 2 bathroom exhaust fans. I grabbed the the 120v primary from the same cct as the damper actuator. The air handling unit comes on which closes a 24v current switch and activates 3 ice cube relays that complete 120v ccts to the damper and both exhaust fans(separate cct than the damper). Do I need to upsize my transformer because it’s on the same cct as the damper ? Is there a bette...
Upstairs I have a traditional thermostat controlling heat connected to this adapt a stat transformer relay. The relay connects to a 12/2 with just a black and white wire. This goes to an oil burner that for some reason is 120v. My downstairs heat is using an old mercury 120v thermostat. The adapt a stat outputs 2 red wires that are manually labeled r and w connected to the thermostat. On the opposite wall I have a traditional thermostat controlling my a/c. Project was to consolidate to one ...

120v to 24v transformer wiring diagram
I am trying to figure out this C wire need for the Nest Thermostats. I've ordered the Nest Power Connector, however while inspecting/troubleshooting a broken zone valve head, I noticed the system ALREADY has a 24V transformer, so I do not think the Nest Power Connector is needed. I am reading ~24V at the Nest across the W/R I intend on replacing the 18/2 wires with 18/5 so I am future-proofed, so I was wondering if I can just connect the C wire to the 24V transformer and skip the need for the... Hello I have bought a smart doorbell, and now I want to hardwire it. I have a 24v transformer from Schrader as found [here](https://www.schrack.com/shop/bell-transformer-30va-12-12-24v-bz326578-a.html). However, I am unsure of how it should be wired according to it's wiring diagram. I want to connect 220v to terminal 10 and 12 to get 24v out of terminal 1 and 3, but it seems wrong to me. Could someone please educate me in how it should be correctly wired? Hello all. I've bought a Nest 3, but in the beginning to convert my 120v swamp cooler to connect to my Nest. I've also have a heater that currently is 24v to a digital thermostat. My swamp cooler is controlled by a 120v switch, the switch is red, black, and ground. 120v to 24v transformer wiring diagram. Good day, ladies and gentlemen. For your consideration, I'd like to present what I believe to be the safest and mod-friendly wire diagram for a custom ESC installation, in this case 24V. I believe I have wired in two separate fail safes, both of which can be triggered by driver and one of which can be triggered remotely if desired. My wiring diagram can be used for 12V or 24V installations but for 12V you need to basically correctly choose your relays, ESC, and put the 12V LEDs in parallel so t... I've searched around but haven't been able to find a clear answer. I have a conveniently located single pole 120v outlet on the inside of the wall that the doorbell is on. Considering safety and NEC compliance, can I replace that single gang box with a dual gang box (maybe with a dual voltage box?), power the 24v AC transformer ([similar to this](https://www.amazon.com/Thermostat-Doorbell-Transformer...
