So, I have an old 90's or so Murray 10/30 rider that runs smooth on initial startup but seems to misfire a bit once I'm actually mowing. It never dies on me or anything so I haven't been too concerned about it. The odd thing I have recently noticed is that towards the end of the tank of fuel it runs really smooth(like I hear other mowers run) up until it dies from the fuel running out. I get maybe a few minutes of the smooth running. I'm sure it probably needs some carb cleaning but I'd rat... Wondering if anyone can identify what the issue might be. I Just got it if Facebook and the guy said the only issue was it kept shorting, Fixed that but guess what! It wasn’t the only issue. I tried starting it up and the flywheel spins but every rotation it sounds like it hits something and make a loud clank and won’t start. There’s nothing that the flywheel could be hitting from what I can see and I can’t replicate it when turning the fly wheel. Video of it https://youtu.be/B3I7XAg5sCU

I found a user manual online via serial/model number... But I don't know if it's the right one. Each wheel and pulley corresponds to the diagram, but the belt just doesn't fit even after taking the tension spring off. I did my best to match up the broken belt to a new belt, but I just feel like there needs to be like 2 to 3 in longer in order for me to get it back on.. is there any standard way to put a belt back on?
